	Biographic Notes
	Evelina Lamma received her degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Bologna (Italy) in 1985, and her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1990. Since January 1986 she has been working at the "Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informatica e Sistemistica" DEIS of the University of Bologna. At present, she is Associate Professor at this department.

	Research Activity
	Her research activity focuses around programming languages, with particular reference to logic languages and their extensions towards modular and object-oriented programming. Her research has covered implementation, application and theoretical aspects. She also works to the development of Artificial Intelligence applications in the field of design, scheduling, control, and computer vision. On these research topics, she is the author of several papers, published on international journals and international conference proceedings.

	Notes
	She is member of the Association for Logic Programming (ALP), the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AI*IA) and of the Executive Council of the Italian Association for Logic Programming (GULP). She was co-organiser of the 3rd International Workshop on Extensions of Logic Programming, held in Bologna (Italy) on February 1992. She was co-organiser of the Sixth Italian Congress on Articifial Intelligence.
