BIOGRAPHIC NOTES
Eugenio Faldella was born in Bologna, Italy, on october 14, 1948.
He received the Ms degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna on July 1972.
He started his academic career on September 1972 at the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems (DEIS)  of the University of Bologna, where he was first Assistant Professor of Industrial Electronics and then, from 1982, Associate Professor of Digital Systems Design. Full Professor since 1990, he was called to the chair of Applied Electronics by the University of Perugia and in 1993 by the University of Ferrara. He newly joined the DEIS at the University of Bologna in 1994.
He was Director of the Computer Center of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna from 1997 to 2001.
He is Chairman of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses on Computer Engineering at the 1st Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna since 2001.

TEACHING ACTIVITY
He is currently teaching two courses (2nd level degree) at the 1st Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna:
o Digital Systems (link),
o Real-Time Systems (link).

RESEARCH ACTIVITY
His research activity, documented in about 70 papers published on International Journals and Conference Proceedings, is at present mainly concerned with:
o design methodologies of programmable digital systems,
o hw-sw codesign of real-time embedded systems for industrial automation applications,
o computer networks security.
