The WSMI infrastructure proposes a solution to open up the usage of MA systems via the bridge of emerging Web Services standards.

WSMI allows MA systems to export functionalities with a WS interface and to access legacy WS components still maintaining MA asynchronicity.

This promotes the uniform access to different MA system functions, independently of the specific MA implementation, and helps facing current MA integration limitations.
