Next figure shows the average number of packets sent/received by each participant, by considering all the different node densities.
   


   

The number of packets sent tends to be proportional not to the number of network participants, but to the number of Manager Election Protocol iterations needed to found an acceptable solution. As shown in the next figure, the latter roughly depends on dense MANET diameter (i.e., approximately not much greater than IS diagonal).
